Mr. Tao Xu

Mr. Xu is a deputy division chief of Department of Taxation Policy of Ministry of Finance. He is mainly in charge of tax policy research and tax system reform. He graduated from Renmin University of China, majored in national economic plan.

Mr. Gao Yue

Mr. Yue is a vise-division chief of Department of Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection of National Development and Reform Commission. He is mainly responsible for assisting comprehensively managing agricultural crops, forestry residues, and relevant policy making. He graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology, majored in computer science and allocations.

Mr. Zhongfa Yang

Mr. Yang is a division director of Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission. He is mainly responsible for resource management and environmental protection in Jiangsu Province. He graduated from PLA Air Force Radar Academy.

Mr. Jiwen Zhang

Mr. Zhang is a deputy division chief of Hubei Development and Reform Commission. He is mainly in charge of resource conservation and environmental protection in Hubei province. He graduated from Wuhan University, majored in administration management.

Mr. Xiaobo Hong

Mr. Hong is a deputy division chief of Jiangxi Development and Reform Commission. He is mainly in charge of resource conservation and environmental protection in Jiangxi Province. He graduated from Nanchang University, majored in Economics.

Mr. Zhongyou Zhao

Mr. Zhao is a vice-deputy division chief of Henan Development and Reform Commission. He is mainly in charge of resource conservation and environmental protection in Henan Province. He graduated from Dalian University of Technology, majored in power machinery and engineering.

Mr. Zhonghua Yin

Mr. Yin is a division director of Heilongjiang Development and Reform Commission. He is mainly in charge of resource conservation and environmental protection, particularly agricultural crops and forestry residues. He graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology business administration.

Xiao Yunhan, Ph.D.

Professor Xiao is the Deputy Director-General at Bureau of High-Tech R&D of Chinese Academe of Sciences (CAS). He joined in CAS since 1996. Prior to joining in the bureau of High-Tech R&D, he worked as the deputy director at Institute of Engineering Thermophysics (IET) of CAS from 2001 to 2006, visited National Institute for Resources and Environment in Japan as the visiting scholar from 1999 to 2000. His research interests include Energy and Technology Policy, IGCC and Co-production for Coal and/or Biomass, Distributed Energy Systems and Renewable Energy, Hydrogen Production and Conversion, Alternative Fuels for Automobile, and Thermal Treatment and Utilization of Wastes. Professor studied in Tsinghua University from 1981 to 1993 and received Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. degree.

Jun Meng, Ph.D.

Professor Jun Meng is the Deputy Director of Liaoning Biochar Engineering & Technology Research Center. In 2006, he visited Unitec in New Zealand. During 2008–2010, he went to NERCITA (National Engineering Research Center for Information Technology in Agriculture, China) for cooperative research. Currently, he is engaged in biochar research, aimed at investigating the role of biochar in soil–plant–air continuum system, study field include pyrolysis technique and equipment, physical and chemical properties of biochar, comprehensive effects of biochar on soil and crop growth. In aspect of achievement transformation, he has hosted or co-hosted a series of extension projects, including Agricultural Technology Extension Project “Demonstration and Extension of Agro–forestry Residue Resource Utilization Technique” fund by Central Finance, Agricultural Comprehensive Exploitation Project “Agro–forestry Biochar Based Fertilizer and Integrated Technology”, and Achievement Transformation Project “Biochar Fertilizers and Soil Amendments Trial Demonstration” which was fund by Science and Technology Ministry of China. Pro. Meng graduated from Shenyang Agricultural University, and got his Ph.D. in agronomy in 2005.

Zheke Zhong, Ph.D.

Professor Zhong is the Chief Engineer of China National Research Center of Bamboo since 2003. Prior to joining in the organization, professor Zhong was a post doctor from in Technical University of Dresden in Germany 1999 to 2003, worked as an associate professor in Zhejiang Forestry Academy from 1992 to 1994, and as a researched assistant in Zhejiang Forestry Academy from 1984 to 1989. Professor Zhong is now mainly focusing on the following research topics: soil environmental restoration, bamboo forest ecology and application and production of biochar and in charge of research projects financed by China Natural Research Fund, National science and technology support plan etc. Professor Zhong received his doctor degree majored in Soil and Geological Science from Zhejiang University in 1999.
