David Sjoding has 31 years of experience in the energy field, focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change, energy policy, bioenergy, clean heat and power, district energy, farm energy and distributed generation. He is a Renewable Energy Specialist at the Washington State University Extension Energy Program; serves as Team Leader of the 6-state Pacific Region Bioenergy Partnership http://www.pacificbiomass.org/; and leads the 5-state U.S. Department of Energy Northwest Clean Energy Application Center http://www.northwestcleanenergy.org/. He served for many years as Assistant Director of the Washington State Energy Office, and chaired the Power Washington Review Committee that ultimately allocated over $95 million in oil settlement funds. He has a strong understanding of Pacific Northwest energy policy framework and structure.
