The National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT)

The National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT) provides research-based technical assistance and information in the fields of sustainable agriculture, sustainable energy, and community development. Through our website, print publications, audio and video materials, and hands-on technical help, we touch hundreds of thousands of lives every year.

Among our other projects, NCAT developed and manages ATTRA-National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service. ATTRA helps agricultural producers, organic certifiers, and educators by providing technical assistance through publications, webinars, research, a toll-free telephone service, and other services.

NCAT IS headquartered in Butte, Montana, with regional offices in Arkansas, California, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
